50th Anniversary Signature Event! Bob Woodward: "Lessons From Presidents Past" February 9, 2010 Union League of Philadelphia
Over 300 Fellows, Connectors and guests joined LEADERSHIP Philadelphia to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. A pre-reception with Bob Woodward was held for 70 attendees as other guests gathered for networking time before lunch. As lunch was served Liz welcomed the group and shared LEADERSHIP's a tribute video, and Bob Woodward shared stories and lessons from his time with past presidents. 2006 from 3:30pm - 6:30pm, Independence Blue Cross Dr. Portia Hunt led the first session, a dialog on race relations, while muralist Jane Golden and futurist Medard Gabel led the second session, in which the mural artists collected design ideas. The design was translated into a mural, which BRIDGE participants will help to paint and will dedicate in the spring. This program is a joint venture of the Urban League of Philadelphia, LEADERSHIP Philadelphia and the Mural Arts Program and is funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Community Advisory Committee.
NetForm CEO, Harvard faculty member, and social network czar, Karen Stephenson, spoke at the Alumni Breakfast and at the Pyramid Club. Ms. Stephenson, who was introduced to us by Malcolm Gladwell, is working with us to map Philadelphia's connections as part of Leadership's Legacy Project.
